Ian Dodd Joins Integrien’s Technology Advisory Board

Integrien Corporation, the leader in real-time performance analytics, today announced that Ian Dodd has joined the company’s Technology Advisory Board. Leveraging over 20 years of experience in architecting and supporting complex infrastructures for leading global companies, Dodd will serve as an advisor assisting Integrien with its strategic product innovation.

Over the course of his career, Dodd has held the roles of CTO, Chief Architect, Operations Director and Executive Program Manager supporting large global infrastructures. Currently, Dodd oversees Global Operations & Enterprise Automation for IBM supporting Kaiser Permanente from IBM's Global Delivery centers. Prior to this Dodd managed the transformation of the United Health Group Enterprise Command Center, engaging new technologies and processes to significantly reduce application outages and brownouts for UHG’s most critical businesses and applications. Dodd has founded and supported a number of companies in the UK, USA and China centering around Data Center Architecture, Enterprise Automation, Management and Content Delivery and is a recognized Chief Architect.

“Given Ian’s deep expertise in architecting and managing complex IT environments, we are thrilled that he will be an active member of Integrien’s Technology Advisory Board,” said Dale Quayle, CEO of Integrien. “As Integrien continues to innovate, it is essential that we work with IT leaders who have lived and breathed the problems associated with managing application performance in the face of increasing IT complexity. We look forward to working closely with Ian and utilizing his industry expertise to guide the continued development of our products.”

“I’ve experienced how adoption of virtualization and other technologies to improve data center efficiency are increasing the risk of application performance problems due to the additional complexity these technologies bring,” said Dodd. “Integrien’s approach of using real-time analytics to identify building performance problems helps to contain this additional complexity and allow the full ROI of these new technologies to be achieved. Integrien has a clear vision for the future of IT performance management and I look forward to helping the company bring it to fruition.”

IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...
