Flexera Software Wins CODiE Award for Best Asset Management Solution -- 3rd CODiE Award for Company

FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprise Is Recognized for Software License Optimization Capabilities

SCHAUMBURG, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/11/12 -- Flexera Software, the leading provider of Application Usage Management solutions for application producers and enterprises, announced today that its market-leading enterprise license optimization solution, FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprises, won the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Award for best asset management solution. This is the third CODiE award win for Flexera Software.

SIIA, the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced 28 CODiE Award winners in different categories on May 10 at a ceremony in San Francisco. A CODiE Award win is an especially prestigious honor, as each award winner was first reviewed by a field of software industry executives, whose evaluations determined 119 finalists. SIIA members then reviewed these finalists and voted to select 28 CODiE Award winners in different categories, including FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprise's win as the best asset management solution.

FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprises has emerged as the leading solution allowing large, global enterprises as well as midsize organizations to move up the maturity model, going beyond software asset management (SAM) to achieve continual enterprise license optimization. The solution automates entitlement based license management and reconciles software purchase order and contract information with actual application installation and usage data, to reduce license, maintenance and audit costs while maintaining license compliance. As a result, enterprises gain unprecedented control of their software estate, driving as much as 5-30% savings in annual software spend.

"Enterprises that want to reduce software spend and unbudgeted software audit risk exposure understand that they must go beyond simply counting the software they've installed and take full advantage of the license entitlements afforded to them in their software license agreements," said Randy Littleson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Flexera Software. "FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprises goes beyond software asset management to deliver this level of optimization. We're delighted that the SIIA judges and members recognize the tremendous value we deliver and are honored to receive the CODiE award for best asset management solution."

"This year's winners reflect excellence and vision," noted SIIA Vice President for the Software Division, Rhianna Collier. "I'm proud to congratulate them on the success of their applications, platforms, and products."

In both 2006 and 2007 Flexera Software's FlexNet Publisher won the CODiE award for best digital rights management solution. FlexNet Publisher enables software vendors and intelligent device manufacturers to monetize, manage, secure, enhance, and grow market share through flexible software licensing, pricing, packaging, and intellectual property protection. In 2008 AdminStudio was selected as a CODiE Award finalist for best business productivity solution. AdminStudio powers enterprises' Application Readiness processes for migrations to Windows 7 & 8, application and desktop virtualization, cloud computing and day-to-day application packaging operations.

Every organization is facing their own Digital Transformation as they attempt to stay ahead of the competition, or worse, just keep up. Where many organizations get into trouble, however, is that they try to have a broad and deep knowledge in each of these areas. This is a huge blow to an organization's productivity. By automating or outsourcing some of these pieces, such as databases, infrastructure, and networks, your team can instead focus on development, testing, and deployment. Further, organizations that focus their attention on these areas can eventually move to a test-driven development structure that condenses several l...
The term "digital transformation" (DX) is being used by everyone for just about any company initiative that involves technology, the web, ecommerce, software, or even customer experience. Never mind that we might not know what the future holds for cryptocurrencies and how much values will fluctuate or even how the process of mining a coin could cost as much as the value of the coin itself - cryptocurrency mining is a hot industry and shows no signs of slowing down. However, energy consumption to mine cryptocurrency is one of the biggest issues facing this industry. Burning huge amounts of electricity isn't incidental to cryptocurrency, it's basically embedded in the core of "mini...
