Kyruus Inc., a physician network optimization company, announced today that Renee Bochman, a Big Data software veteran, has joined the company in a key management position. Renee will serve as Vice President, Client Services, responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer success. Prior to joining Kyruus, Renee led customer service organizations at Vertica Systems (acquired by HP) and Endeca Technologies (acquired by Oracle).
“We’re thrilled to have someone with Renee’s talents leading our client engagements,” said Graham Gardner, Chief Executive Officer at Kyruus. “We’ve been fortunate to begin partnerships with over a dozen leading health care organizations over the past year. Renee’s expertise with Big Data and her track record of building strong relationships with customers will allow Kyruus to scale quickly to meet the growing demand for our solutions.”
Kyruus is one of over 100 Massachusetts-based companies at the forefront of Big Data development. According to the Mass Technology Leadership Council, employment in the Massachusetts Big Data sector is expected to more than double over the next six years, adding an estimated 15,000 jobs. Ms Bochman joins a Kyruus team of over 30 people that combines the expertise of former physicians and health care executives from world-class medical centers with data scientists and engineers from leading technology companies such as Endeca, Kayak, IBM, and Aster Data.
To keep up with its recent growth, Kyruus announced that the company has moved to larger office space within Boston, a city known for health care and technology innovation. “Health care is undergoing a transformational change – a change that will require physicians and organizations to engage with data in a whole new way in order to optimize the way they care for patients,” noted Dr. Gardner. “We continue to believe that Massachusetts is well positioned to capitalize on the promise of Big Data in health care by leveraging the state’s leading health care institutions and underlying technical talent.”
