XebiaLabs, the leading provider of enterprise-class application release automation software (www.xebialabs.com), today announced the availability of a significant new release of Deployit, its application release automation platform. The new version introduces Anytime Rollback and a new public REST API as well as providing extended discovery and enhanced deployment state handling.
In support of it core objectives to accelerate and streamline the application release process, XebiaLabs has introduced the most efficient release rollback technology on the market today. Deployit 3.8 tracks changes made to target systems at every step, allowing it to automatically prepare a compensating “undo” plan where- and whenever a failure occurs. With Deployit 3.8, there is no scripting or manual configuration required – effectively cutting the configuration time and effort in half.
“Deployit continues to set the standard for application release automation,” said Coert Baart, CEO, XebiaLabs. “With this introduction of yet another major product innovation from XebiaLabs, the enterprise now has access to the most advanced rollback automation on the market today. Deployit offers complete visibility and flexibility so organizations can monitor, measure and manage the application release process every step of the way.”
With Deployit 3.8, real-time visibility and alerts extend centralized control over application changes everywhere, all at once. A unified view ensures that Dev and Ops have the same information at the same time facilitating greater collaboration and increasing communication between development, QA, and operations, ensuring stress-free deployments.
“In today’s enterprise, being able to automatically and correctly deploy the many, fast- changing components required of a modern web-based multitier application is critical to the business,” said Gartner VP and Distinguished Analyst Ronni J. Colville. “A solution that enables the Dev and Ops teams to collaborate and communicate more effectively is key to enabling DevOps and error-free application deployments.”
Significant New Features and capabilities of the new Deployit 3.8 include:
- Simplified Setup: Extended discovery of WebSphere resources and artifacts in existing environments
- Automated Rollback: Undo failed or aborted deployments anytime, anyplace, without scripting or configuration
- Improved Windows Support: Authenticate using Windows domain users over WinRM using Kerberos, and other advanced WinRM options
- Fine-grained Control: Define detailed deployment checklist permissions
- Package Control: Define, build and export packages in the Deployit GUI. A great way to encourage developer self-service
- Additional Automation APIs: Integrate Deployit in your environment using the new public REST API alongside CLI and other integration plugins
- Deployment State Handling: Activate triggers when a task or step state changes, configure email alerts and rollback policies and more
