CINCINNATI, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 11/05/12 -- InfoMagnetics Technologies (IMT), a provider of Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions, has entered into an OEM agreement with Cincom Systems to license Cincom Knowledge Master to add an Active Integration dimension to its existing IBM Initiate healthcare Master Data Management solution.
Healthcare providers face the challenge of determining accurate and consistent patient identification. Matching the right patient with the right medical record during registration is critical for revenue and clinical outcomes.
"The benefits of active integration at the point of care to an Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) have been known for years: Reduced duplicates and overlays, streamlined workflow and the correct identification of patients. The challenge has been how to provide a robust solution for all clinical systems," says Brian Eckhardt, CEO of IMT. "Cincom Knowledge Master, combined with our Active Integration application, provides a secure, robust and flexible solution to address the multiple systems and workflows involved in patient identification and registration and unlocks those benefits."
IMT's new Active Integration capabilities will combine Cincom Knowledge Master and IMT technologies to streamline the workflow required at registration. It will allow registrars to efficiently and accurately search, review, select and populate the EMPI information stored within the IBM Initiate solution.
"The addition of Cincom's technologies to IMT's existing solutions will offer healthcare providers a significant improvement over their current processes," says Chris Woodhead, Managing Director of Cincom Intelligent Business Applications. "This active integration capability will enable real-time connectivity between healthcare organizations' registration systems and the MDM EMPI. It automates the entire process and offers a much more configurable solution."
