King Fish Media Partners With Boston Market To Launch "Holiday Hub" Microsite

Content-Rich Destination Promotes Party Planning and Customer Engagement

SALEM, Mass., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- King Fish Media, the leading provider of marketing solutions, was enlisted by Boston Market, which offers fresh home style meals in more than 470 restaurants coast to coast to build and launch http://holidayhub.bostonmarket.com/ a new, content-rich microsite with party planning ideas, tips and recipes. Already a popular favorite for the company's catering for special occasions, the new and engaging content underscores Boston Market's position as a holiday expert.

Within the Holiday Hub microsite, consumers can find articles and original recipes from acclaimed Chef Rick Rogers, including his chicken and shrimp paella, spinach-stuffed Portobello, fiesta corn pudding, and sweet potato cheesecake. The site also features loads of entertainment ideas including party icebreakers, games and unique party themes (tropical holiday anyone?). There's also plenty of practical party planning content like how to properly carve a turkey and deliver a great toast. Feeding the holiday spirit, there's also an area where consumers can share stories of Random Acts of Kindness. Boston Market will select some of these stories and reward the authors with Boston Market gift cards. The microsite will also drive social engagement, allowing site visitors to easily share content via email, Facebook and Twitter.

"The Holiday Hub site gives Boston Market an exciting new dimension of customer engagement. By providing the A-to-Z tips and tools for a terrific holiday party, we're able to offer not only great food, but a great experience," said Sara Bittorf, Chief Brand Officer, Boston Market. "Furthermore, pairing this great content with social media will allow us to reach new customers and bring even more people back to the site."

"It's an exciting time for companies as they can now interact with their customers in fresh and exciting ways. Using video, social media and original content, there is virtually no limit to what brands can do creatively," said Cam Brown, President of King Fish Media. "Boston Market is a perfect example. They took this holiday concept and really ran with it. We're excited to watch the content spread online, and more importantly, to measure how this program boosts sales this holiday season."

In addition to video and audio streams, we can now bi-directionally send arbitrary data over WebRTC's PeerConnection Data Channels. With the advent of Progressive Web Apps and new hardware APIs such as WebBluetooh and WebUSB, we can finally enable users to stitch together the Internet of Things directly from their browsers while communicating privately and securely in a decentralized way.
