Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/ckf4t6/managed_security) has announced the addition of the "Managed Security Service Providers Market in the UK 2011-2015" report to their offering.
TechNavio's analysts forecast the Managed Security Service Providers market in the UK to grow at a CAGR of 17.7 percent over the period 2011-2015. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the increasing need to reduce the cost of IT security. The Managed Security Service Providers market in the UK has also been witnessing the growing popularity of cloud-based service offerings. However, the issues related to security service offerings could pose a challenge to the growth of this market.
Other vendors mentioned in the report are Atos S.A., Dell SecureWorks Information Security Services, Hewlett-Packard Co., Integralis Ltd., Orange Business Services, Symantec Corp. Telefonica S.A., and Verizon Communications Inc.
Commenting on the report, an analyst from TechNavio's IT Security team said: ''The popularity of cloud-based services is increasing because of their advantages such as low cost, easy installation, and low maintenance. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) prefer cloud-based security services to other security services. Therefore, many vendors in the Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) market in the UK have started offering cloud-based services.''
According to the report, companies are investing in IT security to protect their network from the rising security threats. To make optimum use of IT security and reduce investments in IT security, companies are approaching MSSPs. The demand for MSSPs is increasing as they help companies reduce IT expenditure and operational expenditure. Furthermore, companies are outsourcing certain parts of their security needs to MSSPs in order to focus on core business requirements and reduce their overhead costs. MSSPs have security experts who can help in improving the security against complex threats.
Further, the report discusses that one of the major challenges faced by the MSSPs is the issues relating to security services offerings such as professional security services.
