FAIRFIELD, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 01/15/13 -- Teleran Technologies, a leading provider of business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse visibility, optimization and control software, today announced Version 5 of its award-winning software suite. With Version 5, Teleran management solutions will provide unprecedented deployment flexibility to ensure the performance, business alignment, cost efficiency and compliance of analytical, data warehouse and big data environments.
Teleran's latest release adds a flexible network-based monitoring architecture to complement its established visibility and control solutions that leverage database listener technology. Teleran Version 5 will be generally available in February 2013.
"Traditional BI and data warehouse environments are giving way to large, complex and distributed information architectures supporting a growing array of analytical applications, database appliances, cloud and big data environments," states Merv Adrian, Research VP Gartner. "Monitoring and managing the use of these increasingly complex and rapidly evolving systems is critical to ensuring that they deliver real value to the business users."
Teleran's Version 5 will deliver the flexibility companies need to apply visibility and automated management controls across an expanding variety of information architectures and platforms. Version 5 will provide a network-based packet capture facility for real-time visibility, analysis and alerting in managing these large, user-driven environments. This network-based version can also be used for service engagements and projects to speed deployments as companies consolidate and tune applications on database appliances such as Oracle Exadata and IBM Netezza.
With Version 5, both network and database listener-based approaches can be mixed and matched across the enterprise to provide the right level of visibility, optimization and control to fit the needs of specific applications and system architectures. Teleran's network-based facility is targeted to systems that require visibility and alerting only, while the database listener version is targeted to environments where there is a need to increase visibility and automatically manage, guide and control application users to ensure their performance, productivity and compliance.
"The growing variety of data sources and dynamic software tools that go into creating these analytical applications are some of the most complex and challenging systems to manage," states Chris Doolittle, VP Marketing Teleran. "We are very excited to be delivering to the market a set of solutions that thoroughly address increasingly massive scale and complexity. As new big data and legacy data sources, applications and users are integrated into these environments, the Teleran System will be able to expand and adapt seamlessly."
Teleran's solutions enable IT organizations to ensure that analytical, BI, data warehouses and big data environments deliver value to the businesses they support. Maximizing performance, analytical process optimization, and operating cost efficiencies, Teleran's software solutions provide IT management and staff a means of managing the business use of analytics and data. Teleran Version 5 will support leading commercial database and data appliance platforms.
