An innovative, hands-on executive, Bothra has led design and development of storage and system technologies for nearly 15 years, first for IBM and later at Symantec (through Veritas acquisition), ONStor and others. Most recently, he was director of engineering for Harmonic Inc.'s MediaGrid product line of scale out NAS storage optimized for broadcast and media.
"Next-generation flash storage requires file systems that are specifically designed and optimized for flash itself," said Radoslav Danilak, CEO of Skyera. "The addition to our company of Amit, whose advanced skill set in these arenas, is a critical component in our mission to provide disruptive innovation to all areas of storage and file systems. Skyera's young, dynamic company culture is an ideal place for Amit's superior engineering talents, as well as his leadership and team-building experience."
Bothra graduated with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur with a degree in Electronics & Electrical Communications Engineering.
Skyera's Skyhawk solid-state solution has received industry acclaim as a visionary and innovative product, validating Skyera's approach to mainstream enterprise solid-state storage. Its SEOS solid-state operating system combines hardware, storage and data management into a unified solution that provides top performance, cost and power consumption attributes.
