iQor, a global provider of intelligent customer interaction and outsourcing solutions, today announced that it has hired Justin Lindsey, the former Chief Technology Officer for the FBI, to fill the new role of Chief Scientist at iQor.

Lindsey will report directly to iQor President and CEO Norm Merritt and lead iQor’s new Center for Applied Analytics, a global team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts dedicated to identifying and acting upon a range of customer traits and characteristics, what iQor refers to as “Behavioral Genomes,” that create new insights and sources of value for iQor’s clients.
“Big Data is transforming existing business models and disrupting how products and services are delivered,” said Norm Merritt, President and CEO of iQor. “Few have the combination of technology and analytics experience that Justin brings to help iQor develop the Behavioral Genomes—why customers churn, what will trigger a purchase, who are fraud risks, etc.—that our clients are demanding. The new Chief Scientist role that Justin will fill is another example of iQor’s continued commitment to be the leading provider of behavioral analytics and business intelligence tools in our industry.”
Most recently, Justin served as the Head of Strategic Development for Research for Bridgewater, one of the world’s largest hedge funds. Before Bridgewater, he served as CTO of Netezza, which was purchased by IBM. While at Netezza, his team designed and created the world’s leading, massively parallel, analytics platform for advanced big data analytics. Previously, Justin served as Chief Technology Officer for the FBI, where he helped shape the agency’s technology and analytic capabilities post-9/11, and then served as CTO for the US Department of Justice. Earlier in his career, Justin led Hewlett Packard’s Advanced Solution Lab. Justin holds three degrees from MIT: an S.B. and M. Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and an MBA.
“I believe analytics allows us to find the signals of insight that will change the world for the better: sources of value can be created, organizations can become more efficient, nations can be protected, and cures for diseases can be found,” said Justin Lindsey. “I’m thrilled about joining iQor and its commitment to establish the Center for Applied Analytics to build upon its long history of using applied analysis to optimize service offerings.”
