ORCHARD PARK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 02/21/13 -- GSX Solutions [www.gsx.com], the global leader in proactive, consolidated monitoring and reporting of enterprise collaboration environments, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and Lotus Notes, today announced that it has received a coveted Gold Award from MSExchange.org. The award, based on a comprehensive review [http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/product-reviews/product-review-gsx-monitor-and-analyzer-v103.html] of the latest release of GSX Monitor & Analyzer 10.3, gives GSX high marks for its agentless operation and monitoring of URLs, as well as its ability to monitor Unified Messaging servers and Outlook Anywhere connectivity.
In granting the Gold Award, MSExchange.org noted that the multi-platform GSX Monitor and Analyzer can also keep tabs on BlackBerry Enterprise, SharePoint, and IBM Lotus Domino servers. The reviewer especially liked its agentless operation, which leaves no impact on existing servers and "really cuts back on the installation and configuration needed to begin the monitoring process."
Also cited was GSX Analyzer's ability to provide administrators with a deeper level of insight. "Through extensive analysis and reporting you can design and plan migrations better, determine better management solutions, come up with more accurate SLA reporting and ultimately baseline and monitor the health of your collaboration environment."
One of the best new features of v10.3 was its monitoring of Unified Messaging servers, including services like the Exchange Speech Engine. Also new is the ability to monitor and report Outlook Anywhere connectivity. "Much like UM, where we expect to see this being utilized even more so with Exchange 2013, we should expect to see more Outlook Anywhere connectivity as well, so it's nice to see that GSX is already focused on OA monitoring and reporting."
Other plusses for GSX Monitor & Analyzer included its ability to monitor URLs, and the ability to configure alerts based on pre-defined Key Performance Indicators or PKI's. "It's miserable when you run out of disk space on an Exchange server simply because you were so busy running around putting out fires that you forgot to check until too late. With a monitoring solution like this you can avoid those issues."
In conclusion, the reviewer notes, "I've been watching GSX Monitor and GSX Analyzer for several years now and I've always liked the product. I'm a sucker for colorful, at-a-glance monitoring solutions that come with a lot more under the hood and GSX has that, and they keep adding to it.... Solid all around, easy to install, configure and use, combined with robust analysis tools. Thumbs up!"
