TORONTO and NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 02/28/13 -- OnX Enterprise Solutions, a leading global provider of enterprise data center solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Cox as President of OnX's U.S. Division. Cox, a career high technology industry executive, brings three decades of experience to OnX including 12 years in senior executive positions at Hewlett-Packard. In his new role, Cox will be responsible for driving OnX's U.S. sales growth, fostering new strategic initiatives, including OnX's on-prem and off-prem offerings, and expanding existing partnerships with industry leaders including Cisco, EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, HP, IBM, NetApp, Oracle, VMware and other complementary partners.
"Mike has a very impressive track record of both leading and managing successful companies through aggressive growth phases resulting in increased revenue, geographic expansion and continued innovation," said Ed Vos, OnX President and CEO. Prior to joining OnX, from 2003-2010, Cox was President and CEO of Logicalis, Inc. During this time, he led the company through six acquisitions and grew overall revenue from $170 million to $600 million in the U.S. Cox served as a director on the parent company's (Logicalis Group) Board of Directors. While at Logicalis, he was named IT Executive of the Year by CMP Media's CRN Magazine. After Logicalis, Cox was President of Arrow Telecommunications and Collaboration Division and before that, he worked at HP for over a decade. At HP, he last served as vice president and general manager of North American sales for the company's Business Customer Organization. In this position, Cox was responsible for the organization's enterprise and commercial sales, marketing and support services in North America.
Cox's 12-year tenure at HP also included the creation of HP's industry-focused sales organizations in 1992 and, in 1994, he assisted in the development of a services sales force for HP in the Americas. He was Midwest regional sales manager of Apollo Computer, Regional Sales Manager for Applicon Inc. and he also held various sales and sales management positions with Digital Equipment Corp.
