If you’re attending IBM’s annual Pulse Conference next week in Las Vegas, be sure to see how Intigua’s cloud management platform virtualizes existing Tivoli solutions, bringing new levels of agility and flexibility to your enterprise management infrastructure.
The Intigua platform is now “Ready for Tivoli” certified by IBM, which means that integration and compatibility between IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) and the Intigua platform have been validated by IBM. The Intigua platform is also now part of the IBM Integrated Service Management (ISM) Library.
Intigua transforms existing management solutions into dynamic, policy-based services that are much easier to provision, upgrade, control and troubleshoot, including widely-used IBM solutions such as:
- IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)
- Tivoli End-Point Manager (TEM)
- Tivoli Provisioning Manager (TPM)
- Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
- IBM Platform Symphony for Big Data and Grid Computing
By converting standard Tivoli agents into virtual, “zero-install” agents with all of the same functionality as physical agents, Intigua de-couples management software from the underlying server infrastructure. This eliminates the complexity, operational overhead and implementation delays commonly associated with traditional agents that require physical installation on all servers.
To enhance application performance and uptime, virtual agents are “sandboxed” in virtual containers (similar to VMDKs) that insulate critical servers from misbehaving or overactive agents. Security and compliance are also enhanced with automated policies by ensuring all servers have the proper security agents, and by accelerating the rollout of new security controls to protect against advanced threats.
“Monitoring and service management are critical for maximizing availability, performance and security in dynamic cloud and virtual environments,” said Shimon Hason, Intigua CEO and co-founder. “With Intigua, IBM customers can continue using their favorite management solutions such as ITM with dramatically-increased flexibility, enabling them to deploy or upgrade management software in hours rather than months.”
Intigua will be demonstrating its certified “Ready for Tivoli” solution at the IBM Pulse Conference, March 3-6, in Pedestal #T124 of the turnkey area.
