Compass Learning, the leader in online personalized learning solutions for the K-12 education market, announced today at 2013 SXSWedu Conference & Festival, the appointment of David Thomas as vice president of product development.

Thomas brings more than 25 years of software development and engineering experience to Compass Learning. Most recently he was Vice President of Platform Development for Fun Machine, a mobile entertainment software and gaming company. Prior to Fun Machine he held similar vice president of product development and engineering roles with All Web Leads, Inc., Trustwave, and Mirage Networks. His experience also spans the video communications, web content management, and marketing communications realm. Thomas began his career with IBM Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with honors, from Syracuse University and has multiple patents.
