Evidon, the global leader in revealing the invisible web, today announced that its Evidon InForm™ solution has joined together with IBM Digital Data Exchange (DDX). Evidon Inform will enable IBM Digital Analytics clients to comply with global privacy regulations easily via a direct integration of Evidon privacy control tags into IBM DDX.
Through this partnership, Evidon becomes an IBM DDX Certified Partner. Consequently, Evidon InForm tags, which enable businesses to provide privacy notices on websites to give consumers transparency and control over how their data is collected, will be easily accessible to all IBM DDX clients. The integration will enable those clients to test and deploy Evidon website notice across their sites directly from the DDX interface, eliminating the need to spend valuable resources on manual deployments.
“The integration of Evidon InForm tagging with IBM DDX has the potential to yield tremendous benefits for companies like Recyclebank,” said Jonathan Hsu, CEO of Recyclebank and an Evidon Board Member. “We take pride on marketing responsibly to our members, and this partnership between Evidon and IBM gives organizations like ours the tools to improve disclosure of data collection practices for the benefit of all of our constituents.”
Providing a privacy notice on EU websites, including a mechanism for visitors to provide their consent to be tracked, is a requirement of compliance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (most notices are labelled “cookie consent”). In the US, utilizing the Ad Choices Icon as part of a website privacy notice solution has become a widely accepted practice. Research has shown that when businesses give people this sort of transparency and control, 48 percent of consumers are more likely to transact with that business.
“IBM has many data-related products that help marketers drive better results, and we are obviously thrilled to work with IBM to make our market-leading privacy tools more accessible to its customers,” said Evidon CEO Scott Meyer. “By integrating privacy tool tags into its Digital Data Exchange, IBM is going beyond privacy compliance. They are demonstrating their deep commitment to making it easier for marketers to use data responsibly, with respect for consumer privacy.”
Evidon InForm is the industry-standard method for delivering these essential privacy notices to hundreds of millions of consumers each day, and giving them control over tracking, in more than 40 languages globally.
IBM Digital Data Exchange is a tag management solution. DDX simplifies the management of IBM and third-party page tags, enabling clients to deploy and maintain website pages with minimal support from IT.
