Strategic Hire Brings Strong Global Perspective, Deep Industry Relationships and Growth Track Record to Support Continued Regional Momentum
Xchanging the business process, procurement and technology services provider and integrator, today announced the hire of Marie Meliksetian as Managing Director of Xchanging Procurement Services, North America.
Reporting to Executive Director of Xchanging Procurement Services, Ed Cross, Marie will assume P&L responsibility for the North American region as well as responsibility for driving business growth, go-to-market strategy and the management of the sales, solution and delivery teams there.
"Marie is a high-caliber professional who will join our ranks to drive the growth of our Procurement Services business, helping organizations create breakthrough improvements in sourcing and procurement processes that result in material cost savings," said Cross. Prior to her new role, Marie held several leadership positions at IBM. Her most recent role was the SCM Practice Executive at IBM Global Process Services Growth Market Unit with the responsibility for the offering development, sales, solution design and the mission to help clients with high-quality procurement outsourcing solutions mapping it to their industry, country and specific needs. Prior to this role, , Marie served as the Procurement Solution Leader for Asia Pacific, Australia and Japan out of IBM's Growth Market Unit headquarters in Shanghai, China.
Through the past 15 years, she moved positions across various leadership roles including acquisition, technology, strategy, financial management, product management and various global procurement and sourcing functions from Manufacturing Hardware, to Technical Services to Telecommunications Services. In these roles, she covered a full range of global procurement leadership positions which included spearheading management of global teams, delivering record savings, optimizing global sourcing and procurement strategies, reengineering purchasing processes across geographies and introducing unique models for new business opportunities and transformation.
Marie joined IBM in 1997 as a procurement professional and eventually served as senior leader to IBM's Chief Procurement Officer.
