GT Software, the leader in helping enterprise organizations unify business information across any platform, data format or programming language, today announced that Dusty Rivers was once again named as a five-time IBM Champion for his exceptional contributions to the technical community.
IBM Champions encompass educators, programmers, developers and other IT professionals across a spectrum of technology categories, including big data, business analytics, information management, storage and more. These individuals serve as advocates and mentors for those availing themselves of IBM solutions and services.
Rivers has a rich 37-year history in global mainframe systems integration and is currently a principal technical architect for GT Software, where his main concentration is helping clients access hard to reach mainframe data and applications through data unification and integration & orchestration solutions.
Chosen for his data management expertise and devotion to sharing his knowledge throughout the technology community, Rivers has continued to expand the breadth and depth of his skill base by helping clients around the world extend IMS through web services using Ivory® Service Architect™.
Rivers stated, “To receive this award for a fifth year in a row is a true honor, particularly since I’m being recognized for work I’m passionate about, in an industry to which I’ve dedicated the span of my career. Being part of GT Software helps me achieve milestones such as this by allowing me to help companies in all verticals modernize their mainframes. Already this year, I’ve had the privilege of working with large banking systems and insurance companies, helping them to connect their legacy systems to mobile devices, expanding their customer services, and tightening their internal efficiencies.”
“We are proud of Dusty’s accomplishments and honored that we are able to leverage his knowledge to the benefit of our customer base. As a highly regarded expert in data management, Dusty is asked to present regularly throughout the year at U.S.-based technology conferences. In addition, we invite IT professionals to attend informative webinars that Dusty co-presents on a quarterly basis to stay abreast of the possibilities of mainframe computing,” says Pamela Bartz, vice president of marketing for GT Software.
