Limeade Appoints Chief Operating Officer

BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - August 06, 2014) - Limeade, a technology company that builds happy, healthy, high-performing workforces for Fortune 1000 companies, has appointed a high-profile technology executive as its chief operating officer (COO). Jeff Dirks assumed the COO role on July 21st to lead and ensure operational excellence across the company.

Jeff brings over 22 years of professional experience spanning four successful technology start-ups. Previous to Limeade he served SVP and General Manager for Coinstar. There, he led Coinstar's 'Cash for Giftcard' business which is profitably operating in more than 20 U.S. markets and deployed in approximately 1000 Safeway, Kroger, and Albertson's retail locations. Prior to Coinstar, Jeff served as President and CEO of SchemaLogic -- a Seattle-based enterprise information management company which Jeff helped sell in 2011. A well-respected, operationally-driven executive with a strong track record of launching and building early-stage companies to scale, Jeff has also participated and led over $100 million in venture capital fund raising.

Jeff began his career as software engineer at IBM after graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington. He is a U.S. Army veteran and has held Top Secret Codeword (SCI) security clearance as a U.S. Army Intelligence analyst tasked by the NSA. When he is not fully engaged with professional pursuits, Jeff competes as a marathon runner. He's successfully completed the 2012 Boston Marathon, 2013 NYC Marathon and several Seattle-based marathons.
