L’Industrial Internet Consortium annonce une extension de son Comité de pilotage

L’Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) annonce les résultats des premières élections de son Comité de pilotage depuis sa création au mois de mars. Les vainqueurs des élections, choisis parmi les membres généraux de l’IIC, sont :

  • Prith Banerjee, Directeur général du département mondial de R&D en technologie chez Accenture
  • Jacques Durand, Directeur des normes et de l’ingénierie chez Fujitsu
  • Stan Schneider, PDG de Real-Time Innovations, Inc.
  • Janos Sztipanovits, Professeur émérite d’ingénierie à l’Université Vanderbilt

Les membres du comité nouvellement élus serviront chacun durant une année et rejoindront au Comité de pilotage les représentants des cinq fondateurs de l’IIC (AT&T, Cisco, General Electric, IBM et Intel) ainsi que son Directeur exécutif, le Dr Richard Soley.

« L’objectif de l’Industrial Internet Consortium – depuis le tout début – a été de réunir des grandes entreprises, des petites entreprises, des universités et des organismes à but non lucratif dans le but de découvrir la direction future de l’Internet industriel », a déclaré le Dr Soley. « Je suis ravi d’être le premier à accueillir les nouveaux membres du Comité de pilotage. Non seulement leurs points de vue uniques renforceront le Comité, mais ils participeront pleinement à l’adoption des bancs d’essai de l’IIC, de ses cas d’utilisation et de ses exigences en termes de normes. »

Le Comité de pilotage de l’IIC est le conseil de direction de celui-ci, il définit les priorités générales de l’IIC, détermine sa direction, effectue une surveillance fiscale, approuve tous les bancs d’essai, définit et gère ses politiques et procédures et est chargé d’autres tâches au besoin.

Les nouveaux membres du comité prendront leurs sièges lors de la réunion trimestrielle des membres de l’Industrial Internet Consortium qui se tiendra à Austin, au Texas (États-Unis), la semaine du 15 septembre. Les personnes qui ne sont pas membres et qui souhaitent en savoir plus sur l’IIC sont cordialement invitées à assister au forum intitulé « Catalyzing the Networked World for Economic Growth » (Catalyser le monde en réseau afin de favoriser la croissance économique) qui aura lieu le 15 septembre à Austin.
