REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers can now display, store and receive digital images anywhere with the launch of the Momento(TM) wireless digital picture frame from i-mate(TM), available in February. Users can stream their digital photos from their PCs, play directly from a digital camera's memory card, and send new pictures directly to the Momento(TM) device via the Momento(TM) Live! Service (http://www.momentolive.com/), allowing them to share the moment -- any time, anywhere.
The Momento(TM) wireless digital picture frame has been optimized and certified for use with the Windows Vista operating system and is also compatible with Windows XP.
"All products with Certified for Windows Vista logo status have undergone rigorous testing on a range of standards," said Dave Wascha, Director of Marketing for Windows Vista at Microsoft Corp. "We have collaborated with the Momento(TM) development team to ensure a certified product of the highest quality that takes advantage of everything Windows Vista has to offer."
Also available is the Momento(TM) Live!(TM) online subscription service that works hand-in-hand with the Momento(TM), uniquely allowing users to receive digital pictures from anywhere in the world that can then be transferred instantly to the Momento(TM) device. Every Momento(TM) frame comes with a free 30-day trial to Momento(TM) Live!
"Most people keep their digital photos on their PCs, and as a result don't enjoy them as much as they should," said Jesse Grindeland, Director of Sales, i-mate(TM). "Momento(TM) gives people a fast and effortless way to enjoy and share their pictures by making the critical connection between digital picture frame and PC."
As part of its optimization for Windows Vista, Momento(TM) wireless digital picture frames take advantage of Windows SideShow, allowing users to view PC based content on the Momento(TM) display screen such as email and instant message alerts, weather, stock quotes and more.
The Momento(TM) wireless digital picture frame comes in two models, the Momento(TM) 100 (MSRP $299), with a 10.2" high-resolution 800 x 480 display, and the Momento(TM) 70 (MSRP $249), with a high-resolution 7", 800 x 480 display screen. Additional features of the Momento(TM) include the ability to display photos in landscape or portrait form, built-in storage for favorite photos, customizable slideshows, mattes and frames and a remote control.
